#BoycottBollywood trend impact Pathaan or helped it?

Film’s name Pathaan – a Muslim title – the hardline Hindu groups raked up a controversy over one of its songs after Deepika Padukone was seen in a saffron-coloured bikini in the song Besharam Rang – which translates from Hindi to shameless colour.

#BoycottBollywood trend basically means Some Bollywood haters or specific political party supporters trying to bring Bollywood Movies and celebrities down giving several reasons via social media, Television, Etc.  and the reasons given to boycott were:

1: Nepotism- Nepotism Kids (actors with strong production company connections or director’s son/daughter) with no talent are getting opportunities but the talented actors with no connection are struggling to get movies.

2: Other Political parties which were hated by the people of India, got Bollywood’s backing.

3: Laal Singh Chadha got shelved because Aamir Khan tried to play Muslim politics. His wife made intolerant comments and tried creating a fake narrative in India. Aamir Khan now kicked her out and tried to be a good guy. People can recognize the fake.

4: Recently Aamir Khan was seen with his wife a big name in Turkey who was speaking all kinds of anti-India comments

5: Pakistani propaganda movies like Haider and Main Hoon Na were not appreciated by netizens. People woke up now because of social media. So, they understand that there’s big clout in Bollywood between the powerful Kapoor Family and Karan Johar and Khan lobby. It has drug problems. Nepotism and all kinds of anti-India activities.

6: There are videos on Instagram of Bollywood celebrities at Karan Johar’s place, where the eyes of the actors show that they are not sober. So, people have concluded it is the usage of drugs.

7: To #BoycottBollywood, Haters supported South movies and expected Bollywood celebrities to respect Indian Culture as south actors do.

Because of this trend, many movies suffered a loss as people got aware of certain situations and decided to avoid Bollywood movies.

But

Pathaan was declared to be released on the 25th of January. Pathaan was one of the most awaited movies and created a lot of buzz before its release. The Director, Producer, and actors of the movie worked hard on it and expected it to be a big hit, but as #boycottbollywood was trending, haters started the trend of #boycottPathaan.

Pathaan movie was hated because of the “Besharam Rang” song controversy where the actress is wearing an orange dress which apparently discourages Indian culture, this was believed by some political party supporters.

They tried to stop the release of the movie by burning posters and asking people to avoid going to movie theatres.

But they failed miserably because the story of the movie and the acting in the movie were appreciated, and people started to believe in Bollywood again and expected Bollywood to make good movies again.

Pathaan was a big hit, and the box office collections of the movie were phenomenal. Though haters tried to bring Pathaan down by saying that creators are showing fake box office numbers, it wasn’t the truth.
